[12.29.10] SNOW!

It snowed in Seoul!
It's my first time seeing snow in Korea this year.
Of coarse it didn't snow a lot like the states, but 10cm of snow in Seoul is a big trouble!
It doesn't usually snow in Korea and I think this year was bizarre.
I heard it snowed about 30cm in Seoul and it happened in 103 years or something in the beginning of the year.
As you might know, Seoul is a large city with a lot of traffic, apartments and people.
Once it snow, the whole city freezes.
We don't even have those trucks that clean the roads.

Well, except the fact that walking outside is dangerous(slippery!),
I like the snow today haha

[2010.11.30] Anxiety in Seoul as Civilian Deaths Are Reported

Anxiety in Seoul as Civilian Deaths Are Reported
Published: November 24, 2010
The South Korean capital seemed caught between anger over the deaths and relief that tensions hadn’t escalated.

North Korea attacked Yeonpyoeng Island of South Korea, without notice. The attack started around 2:34PM, Nov. 23.
2 soldiers and 2 civilians died due to the bombing of North Korea.
The civilians of South Korea were outraged by the North Korea's provocativeness and the late response of the government.
Also, the government delivered false information on how many bombs the North Korea used and this mistake made the civilians get angry even more. In first place, they announced that the North Korea used 80 bombs, but later, they fixed it to 170 bombs in total.
In response, the South Korea used 80 bombs as a revenge.

As it is explained in the article, the people in South Korea don't want war against North Korea. War won't bring any benefits to both countries;it's just going to make the wound deeper.  In my opinion, the stronger ones should control their temper and they shouldn't create a problem.

[2010.11.29] Lonely Wandering In A Forest :Yuki Guramoto

Artist: Yuki Guramoto
Album: Piano Nostalgie
Genre: Jazz/ New Age
Release Date: 2008.07.04

Yuki Guramoto's songs make me calm.
This is one of the song I enjoy listening to.
Sometimes, there are times when I can't fall asleep, and I carefully listen to this song immediately. :)
The music itself is very calm and the rhythms of soft piano is very peaceful that it makes the brain get peaceful too. I usually don't listen to New Age songs, but there are times when it's necessary and this song is a perfect match for that moments.

[2010.11.27] Party!?

Well, I can't call it a party but had a fun day.

First of all, the weather sucked!
It rained and snowed at the same time and you know, slushy kind of snow bothered me a lot.
Good thing I met my friend during lunch time.
We went to Shinsa dong and ate Samgyupsal(삼겹살).
Samgyupsal is like a three layered pork where Koreans tend to eat a lot with some alcohol, but since we are still teenagers of coarse there were no alcohol involved. :)
We ate them with kimchi(김치)-which is one of the most famous traditional food of Korea- while we cooked the pork on the big grill thing. Yummy!

I went there with one of my friend and my brother... I don't know why my brother followed me.
Maybe he wanted to eat Samgyopsal too..?

After, when we got home our aunt was waiting in front of our house.
She told us that she was going to make cream spaghetti and other good foods so we headed to her house. I had tons of homework to do, but I followed.
I helped her cook and other cousins came over to the aunt's house... it was very crowdy.
We joked around, sometimes teasing each other and had a fun time as if we were kindergartners again.

P.S- My belly almost popped due to the intake of excessive amount of food
